Connect Lapland Buddy to your AI assistant

Add Lapland Buddy as a connector in ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code or any MCP-compatible AI client. Your assistant can then search Lapland places, check the aurora forecast, and (once signed in) manage your businesses.

Connect

ChatGPT

  1. Open ChatGPT → Settings → Apps → Advanced and enable Developer mode (read the risk notice). If it's not available, ask a ChatGPT admin to enable it.
  2. Click the Create app button next to the back button.
  3. Give the connector a name and paste the MCP URL above.
  4. Click Create.
  5. Enable the app from the chat composer, then ask ChatGPT to use Lapland Buddy.

Claude

  1. Open Claude with the connector prefilled, review the details, and click Add.
  2. If the prefilled form doesn't open, open Claude's Connectors page, choose Add custom connector, then name it and paste the MCP URL.
  3. Sign in when Claude prompts you — Lapland Buddy authenticates with your account so it can act as you.
  4. Enable the connector from the composer, then ask Claude to use Lapland Buddy.

Claude Code

  1. Run this one-line command in your terminal:
claude mcp add --scope user --transport http lapland-buddy https://laplandai.com/mcp
  1. Start Claude Code and run /mcp to confirm Lapland Buddy is connected. Sign in from that menu when prompted.
  2. Ask Claude Code to use Lapland Buddy.

Other MCP clients

  1. Open your client's MCP server or custom connector settings.
  2. Create a remote MCP server connection.
  3. Name it Lapland Buddy and paste the MCP URL above.
  4. Finish any sign-in or authorization prompts.
  5. Enable the connection, then ask the assistant to use Lapland Buddy.

Refresh after Lapland Buddy updates

Connected assistants cache the tool list. When we ship new tools, refresh your connector so it picks them up.

ChatGPT

  1. Open ChatGPT's app preferences and pick Lapland Buddy under Enabled apps.
  2. Next to Information, click Refresh.
  3. If the URL above changed, paste the latest one.
  4. Start a new chat and ask ChatGPT to use Lapland Buddy.

Claude

  1. Open the Connectors page and select Lapland Buddy.
  2. Refresh or update the connector's tools.
  3. If the URL above changed, paste the latest one.
  4. Ask Claude to use Lapland Buddy.

Claude Code

  1. Start a new Claude Code session — it loads the latest tools on connect.
  2. If the URL changed, run claude mcp remove lapland-buddy, then run the install command again with the new URL.
  3. Ask Claude Code to use Lapland Buddy.

Other MCP clients

  1. Open your client's MCP server or connector settings.
  2. Select the Lapland Buddy connection.
  3. Refresh the tool list, reload the server, or reconnect it.
  4. If the URL above changed, paste the latest one.
  5. Start a new chat and ask the assistant to use Lapland Buddy.
